Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation among students. Use diverse teaching strategies and learning technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations; adjust instruction accordingly. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques and clear expectations. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support individual student needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Incorporate physical education activities and promote healthy habits as part of the overall curriculum. Support literacy education by integrating reading and writing exercises; provide tutoring or extra help as needed. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and student progress reports. Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and curriculum development initiatives to enhance teaching practices. Skills Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Expertise in lesson planning across multiple subjects including literacy education, math, science, and social studies. Experience working with children with diverse needs such as autism or those requiring special education services. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Proficiency in using learning technology tools to enhance instruction and engagement. Ability to adapt teaching methods for private school settings or Montessori-style classrooms if applicable. Excellent writing skills for creating clear instructional materials and reports. Skills in curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, tutoring, and library services integration.
