Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and reliable Junior Kindergarten Teacher to join our private early childhood education (ECE) program in Peoria, AZ. This full-time role is ideal for a dedicated childcare professional who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting the developmental growth of young children. We are a close-knit staff and community and are looking for someone to join our Big Dreams family! About the Role As a Junior Kindergarten Teacher, you will help prepare children for Kindergarten by introducing them to a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment. You will play a key role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and curriculum. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans. Use a variety of teaching methods, including play-based learning, storytelling, and hands-on activities. Support children's social and emotional development, including conflict resolution and confidence-building. Encourage positive interactions and classroom participation. Employ a coherent, cumulative sequence of curriculum content to build strong foundations in literacy and broad background knowledge across subjects. Supervise children at all times to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Organize and monitor snack time. Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents. Collaborate with other teachers and staff. Maintain a clean, organized classroom in accordance with health and safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience as a Preschool, Pre-K, or Junior Kindergarten Teacher or childcare provider (required). Strong understanding of child development and teaching methods. Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom behavior and guide young children effectively. Patient, dependable, and positive attitude. Current CPR and First Aid certification (required). Requirements Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Peoria, AZ 85383 prior to start date.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
