The teacher will use a variety of classroom techniques for teaching and implementing engaging experiences that inspire a love of learning. As a kindergarten teacher, primary focus will be literacy, beginning writing, and math instruction. The teacher will create and implement a classroom program that is conducive to the learning of all students and emphasizes meeting the needs of the individual learner. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization required. BA or BS degree; MA degree is desirable. Minimum of 1+ years classroom teaching experience preferred.

Comments and Other Information This is a 5 day/week position for the 2026-27 school year.Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a creative and stimulating program that entails a high level of collaboration among students, includes engaging activities and lessons, and utilizes appropriate educational technologies.
- Develop a curriculum map for the year, setting age-appropriate learning objectives within the scope and sequence of each unit.
- Maintain data obtained through both informal and formal assessments and use that data to drive future instruction.
- Promote high expectations with a caring attitude that supports the established learning environment of promoting social, emotional, and academic growth in students.
- Frequently communicate with parents and caregivers about their child's progress by phone, email, conferences, monthly communication, and report cards.
- Use positive techniques for managing student behavior.
- Team player - regularly collaborate with primary team teacher in order to share information and maintain consistency. Collaborate with the administrative team, colleagues, and specialists on-site in order to provide necessary modifications and interventions to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Comfortable with a charter environment including flexible roles.
