Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that encourage respectful interactions and social-emotional growth. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early intervention, childhood development, and school readiness skills such as literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children with special education needs and ensure individualized learning plans are followed. Utilize assessment tools and standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments, behavior logs, and other documentation required for compliance and reporting purposes. Promote child welfare by ensuring a safe, inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes positive behavior. Qualifications Prior classroom experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs such as phonics or early reading skills. Familiarity with special education practices and working with children who have diverse learning needs is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; Montessori training or preschool certification is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom activities confidently while fostering a nurturing environment focused on child welfare.
