26-27 Transitional Kindergarten Teacher - Valor Academy Elementary School at Bright Star Schools Print Application Deadline Until Filled Date Posted 5/15/2026 Contact Steven Lopez Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay Range $63,600 - $137,400 Annually Length of Work Year 26-27 Employment Type Full Time Requirements / Qualifications What you'll bring Bachelor's degree Multiple Subject CA Credential (Clear or Preliminary credentials only) Possession of either an English Learner Authorization (EL Authorization), Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required. Two years of urban teaching experience preferred Bilingual Spanish or Korean desirable, but not required Pursuant to EC Section 48000(g)(4), credentialed teachers first assigned to teach in a transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom after July 1, 2015 must have one of the following: at least 24 units in early childhood education (ECE) or child development (CD), or both; as determined and documented by the local educational agency employing the teacher, professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children meeting the criteria established by the governing board or body of the local educational agency that is comparable to the 24 units of education; or a CD Teacher Permit, or an ECE specialist credential, issued from the Commission on
