St. Brendan School is a Catholic parish elementary school located between the Koreatown, Windsor Square, and Hancock Park neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Our student population reflects the rich diversity of these communities, as well as the broader Mid-Wilshire, Hollywood, and South Los Angeles areas. We are committed to providing a faith-centered, academically challenging education that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of every child. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment rooted in Catholic values and committed to academic excellence. Responsibilities include designing and implementing standards-based lessons, assessing student learning through formative and summative assessments, preparing students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, maintaining strong communication with parents, integrating technology into instruction, participating in extracurricular activities, and collaborating closely with faculty, staff, and administration to support all students.
Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (required) Valid teaching credential (preferred) Experience in elementary instruction preferred Be knowledgeable of various online resources/programs to utilize for in-person teaching, as well as for distance learning; Be able to prepare and implement lesson plans, instruct students using an effective classroom management style, monitor student progress, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate student records; Perform other duties and administrative tasks per school protocol and/or administration's request. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
