View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Must hold a valid Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential A Behavior First classroom teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a structured, supportive learning environment that prioritizes positive behavior as the foundation for academic success. Key responsibilities include implementing proactive behavior strategies, teaching and reinforcing clear expectations, using positive reinforcement, and consistently applying behavior supports and interventions. The teacher collaborates with support staff, uses data to monitor student behavior and progress, provides social-emotional skill instruction, and builds strong relationships with students to promote self-regulation, engagement, and achievement.
