The ideal candidate brings a passion for teaching children , the ability to guide students through both academic and creative explorations in Mandarin Chinese including traditional characters, and strong classroom management skills. Our Mandarin classes are leveled to reflect groups between Novice 1-Intermediate 2 levels. This is a full-time teaching position that involves interdisciplinary teaching, flexibility in a small school setting, collaboration with colleagues across subject areas, and leading Mandarin, math, and other classes. You will also support other enrichment classes like art, music, or drama, based on experience. Who We Are Oasis Trilingual Community School is a TK-8th grade independent, non-profit school located in Monrovia, CA. We have about 85 students in the whole school and have a highly involved parent and staff community. Our mission is to nurture curious, compassionate, and confident learners through a trilingual immersion program in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. We serve a diverse community of students and families with small class sizes, a collaborative teaching culture, and a hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum that prioritizes academic excellence, language fluency, and social-emotional development. //www.instagram.com/oasistrilingualcommunityschool/ Responsibilities Teach 2-3 classes daily of K-3rd grade Mandarin Language Arts using ACTFL aligned, Organic World Language, and inquiry-based instructional practices. Teach 2-3 other courses bilingually based on experience such as math, science, art, music, drama, or STEM. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Collaborate with teaching teams to integrate Mandarin Language concepts across disciplines and grade levels. Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learners in a small-group setting. Implement effective classroom and behavior management practices for students. Communicate regularly with families and colleagues to support student learning and development. Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and a positive middle school culture.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in education, with a credential in multi-subject teaching, Mandarin Language, or related field 2+ years teaching experience in elementary school. Classroom management Passion for working with diverse learners in a multilingual and community-focused environment Enthusiastic, collaborative team member who loves working with kids Full oral and written fluency in Mandarin traditional characters.

Preferred:
