Essential Elements:
Print Reading Intervention Teacher The reading intervention teacher will be responsible for the reading intervention program grades 1-3. The duties will include diagnosing and remediating student reading difficulties; providing direct service to students; coaching teachers in their reading instruction; and collecting and analyzing data. Candidates should have experience as a classroom teacher of reading; be knowledgeable about best practices in reading and reading remediation; be capable of coaching/collaborating with teachers, assistants and volunteers; and have experience working with ELL students. A reading specialist credential is preferred, but not required.
