Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy education, math, science, social studies, and religious teachings. Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning, positive behavior management, and respectful communication among students. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding and retention. Provide individualized support through tutoring, early intervention strategies, and working with students with special needs or autism to ensure inclusive education. Foster strong relationships with students by mentoring them academically and spiritually, encouraging their personal growth in accordance with Christian principles. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school activities, and administrative tasks to maintain a cohesive educational experience. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, behavioral incidents, and lesson plans for ongoing assessment and reporting purposes. Qualifications Valid Christian teaching certification or equivalent credentials demonstrating Christian faith integration in education. Proven classroom experience in elementary education within private or Christian school settings preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children with diverse needs including special education, early intervention, or working with individuals with autism is highly desirable. Proficiency in using learning technology tools and resources to facilitate interactive lessons. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and community members. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, behavior management strategies, and library services when applicable. Strong writing skills for documentation purposes and curriculum development purposes.
