This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love of learning in elementary students, supporting their academic growth and social development through dynamic instruction and caring mentorship. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing children's educational journeys in a vibrant summer environment. All positions are paid, ensuring a rewarding experience for dedicated educators eager to make a positive impact. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and encourages student participation. Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly, including preparation for standardized testing when applicable. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary activities and ensure consistency in teaching approaches. Provide mentorship and individualized support for students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies. Facilitate physical education activities and promote healthy movement habits during designated class times. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events. Manage classroom logistics efficiently, including organizing materials, supervising activities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support library services by integrating literacy education resources into lessons and encouraging reading habits among students. Skills Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning within elementary education settings. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including students with autism or other special needs. Excellent communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and connect with parents. Knowledge of curriculum development techniques across core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools used in modern classrooms. Experience in tutoring or working with students on standardized tests or academic interventions. Demonstrated ability to mentor young learners positively while fostering independence and confidence. Skills in behavior management strategies that create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment. Background in private school settings or Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
