Overview We are seeking an engaging and student-centered elective teacher with a strong background or interest in health, wellness, and nutrition education. This position will also provide support to the Physical Education program through collaboration, supervision, and student wellness initiatives. The ideal candidate will create meaningful learning experiences that promote healthy lifestyles, nutrition awareness, physical activity, and lifelong wellness habits for students. Responsibilities Teach elective courses related to health, nutrition, wellness, and healthy living Support the Physical Education teacher as needed with activities, supervision, and wellness programming Develop lesson plans aligned with school goals and student needs Create an interactive and inclusive classroom environment Incorporate hands-on activities, projects, and real-world applications Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and physical wellness Collaborate with staff, families, and administration Maintain classroom management and student progress records Qualifications Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Prior classroom experience working with children across elementary and middle school levels Preferred Qualifications Background in nutrition, fitness, health sciences, or wellness programs Experience supporting PE classes, athletics, or student fitness activities CPR/First Aid certification preferred Experience with project-based or elective learning environments
