St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic School in Riverside is seeking a full time teacher who is experienced in teaching the principles of computers to students of different ages and at different levels.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Prepare lesson materials, homework, assignments, tests, etc to meet curriculum goals. Become acquainted with and support the educational philosophy of the Diocese and School. Fulfill the normal work expectations of a teacher which include, but are not limited to: effective teaching and supervising,preparing/submitting lesson plans as prescribed by the principal. Structure learning situations which will produce positive effects on student achievement. Being available to students and parents for conferencing. Cooperate with and participate fully in the school's liturgical and religious activities. Submit grades and reports, in a timely manner, as required for administrative purposes, parent notification, and for student attendance. Be responsible for academic growth of his/her students. Use curriculum guides, textbooks,technology and materials prescribed by the school. Create interactive classroom environment for students. Develop classroom standards to maintain student discipline and behavior. Evaluate student performance regularly and prepare progress reports. Communicate regularly with parents on student performance. Identify and request appropriate books and instructional materials. Conduct classes as per the designated schedule. Establish learning objectives and goals clearly. Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Classroom management experience
- Strong background in literacy and math education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Certification in elementary education or relevant field
