Teacher (1.0 FTE) - Primary Grades (Interns Welcome to Apply) at Luther Burbank School District Print Application Deadline Until Filled Date Posted 5/22/2026 Contact Sheryl Uchiyama 408-295-2450 Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay Range $68,463 - $139,224 Annually Add'l Salary Info Masters Stipend $2,000, B-CLAD Stipend (Spanish only) $1,400 Length of Work Year 184 Days Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Luther Burbank School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educator to serve in a full-time combination assignment supporting both Transitional Kindergarten students and primary-grade students receiving Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services.
This unique position includes:
Morning Assignment:
Transitional Kindergarten instruction in a half-day TK program (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Afternoon Assignment:
Specialized academic instruction and support for primary-grade students. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, inclusion, intervention, and supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth through collaborative and engaging instructional practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and 24 ECE Units or Child Development Permit issued by CTC Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Mild/Moderate Authorization with an English Learners Authorization Submit the documents listed below to your on-line EDJOIN application. all colleges/universities attended) (Required for all Pre-interns) Letter from Credential program currently enrolled (Required for all Pre-interns) EL Authorization (must provide proof if it is not embedded in California Credential) •Credential Copy (Must show Subject Description, Expiration Date and EL Authorization) •Letters should be from current or former Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chair, or Program Director. If you have not taught in California (new to the profession), please include a letter from your university program supervisor, master teacher, or practicum supervisor.
