We have both city neighborhood schools and those in the rural, outlying area of Santa Rosa. The Piner-Olivet Union School District has outstanding academic and student-centered programs that support all students. The district of approximately 1,250 students operates three TK-6 grade elementary schools: Jack London, Olivet Charter, and Morrice Schaefer Charter. For the secondary students, the Piner-Olivet Charter School serves students in grades 7th & 8th, while Northwest Prep serves students in grades 7th and 12th. The average size of our elementary schools is about 300 students, while our secondary schools are even smaller. Students are given the attention each one deserves. In addition to a strong academic program, our students are provided with a robust and well-rounded program that includes art, music, library studies, and PE.
