This role offers an exciting opportunity to implement Montessori principles tailored to children in the primary grades, fostering a love for learning, independence, and holistic development. As a key member of our educational team, you will create engaging lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and support each child's unique growth trajectory. Your passion for childhood development and commitment to excellence will help shape confident, curious learners ready to thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities Design and deliver dynamic, student-centered lessons aligned with Montessori curriculum standards for Primary 3-6 students. Develop comprehensive lesson plans incorporating curriculum development best practices, integrating learning technology and LMS (Learning Management Systems) where appropriate. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, creating a safe and nurturing environment conducive to active learning. Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing methods, providing constructive feedback and tailored academic advising. Facilitate engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, classroom management techniques, and inclusive education strategies such as working with children with autism or special education needs. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and developmental milestones; proofread instructional materials for clarity and accuracy. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and educational goals. Requirements Proven classroom experience teaching primary or elementary-aged children within a Montessori or similar early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Experience working with students with diverse needs including special education or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate creative writing, hands-on activities, and educational assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements. Private school experience or previous work in early childhood or preschool settings is preferred. At least, 12 ECE units Certification in Montessori teaching methods or relevant early childhood education credentials is required.
