This role is dedicated to promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, academic excellence, and multicultural awareness while ensuring all students are supported to achieve their highest potential. Teachers serve as instructional leaders who foster inclusive, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environments that support the intellectual, social-emotional, and cultural development of every student. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, culturally responsive teaching, collaboration, and continuous professional growth. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in English and Spanish within a Dual Language Immersion program Promote bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competency through meaningful and rigorous learning experiences Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student achievement and well-being Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of students Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress Implement California Common Core Standards and English Language Development (ELD) standards effectively Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional staff, and school leadership to improve student outcomes Build and maintain strong partnerships with students, families, and community members Support positive student behavior using restorative practices, PBIS, and trauma-informed approaches Integrate technology and 21st-century learning strategies into daily instruction Participate actively in professional development, staff meetings, and professional learning communities Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, achievement, and support strategies Contribute positively to school culture and school-wide initiatives Required Qualifications Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Valid Bilingual Authorization in Spanish (BCLAD or equivalent authorization required) CLAD certification or authorization to teach English Learners Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Strong understanding of instructional strategies for multilingual learners Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and student success Preferred Qualifications Clear California Multiple Subject Credential preferred Experience teaching in a Dual Language Immersion or bilingual classroom setting Experience serving culturally and linguistically diverse student populations Ability to build strong relationships with families and community partners Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Compensation Starting salary: $70,304 annually Salary placement is based on credential status, educational background, and years of teaching experience.
