Serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, Sacred Heart School is committed to forming the whole child through a Christ-centered education rooted in faith, knowledge, and heart. Teachers at Sacred Heart play an important role in fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth. Working in partnership with families and colleagues, our faculty create a supportive learning environment where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow in spirit, mind, and character. The ideal candidate is passionate about Catholic education and committed to helping students grow in faith while cultivating a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the school's philosophy, Catholic teachings, and academic standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports student growth in faith and learning. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Integrate faith-based teachings and Catholic values into daily lessons and activities. Assess student progress through observation, documentation, and formative assessments. Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Participate in school Masses, religious celebrations, and Catholic community events. Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's mission and vision. Uphold school policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field Valid teaching credential or enrolled in a credential program. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional methods. Commitment to the teachings and values of the Catholic faith. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans that support individual learning styles. Commitment to fostering a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based school setting. Familiarity with differentiated instruction and project-based learning. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.Application Process:
