Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers for our Kindergarten and 3/4 grade classrooms. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, implement tailored instructional strategies, and foster a positive classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence. As a Lutheran school our Christian faith is woven into all of our lessons and activities. We do not require teachers to be members of the Lutheran church but we do need teachers who are comfortable sharing and promoting the Christian faith with young children and their families. Duties Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy and math. Effectively utilize provided curriculum across all disciplines. Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques , applying school behavioral standards. Evaluate student learning using formative and summative assessments. Provide academic advising, tutoring, and mentorship to support student success and well-being. Skills Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff. Training and/or experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design for elementary settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles. Proficiency with learning technology platforms and educational software tools. Ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that respects individual differences.
