06/20/2026 Glastonbury East Hartford Magnet School is seeking a full time, certified Elementary Teacher. Grade 3. The candidate will provide comprehensive, high quality instruction in the classroom. Elementary teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Duties/Responsibilities Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives. Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for elementary school students, aligned to the Common Core State Standards, translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction. Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modify instructional methods to fit individual students' needs; conduct individual and small group instruction as needed. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Candidate must be CT certified and have knowledge of literacy, math and science standards and be able to utilize data to inform instruction and possess the ability to work successfully as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
