Our small classroom setting offers a 1:5 teacher-to-student ratio , allowing for meaningful relationships, individualized instruction, and a calm, focused learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School 3rd-5th-grade teacher to inspire young learners and grow with our school. In this vital role, you will create engaging lesson plans, implement effective classroom management strategies, and support students' academic and social-emotional development. Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral notes in compliance with education administration standards. Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication about student achievements and areas for growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; additional certification in elementary education required. Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 3rd-5th across diverse settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education strategies. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with learning technology tools and educational software to support student learning. Ability to work effectively with students of varying needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive classroom environments.
