Elementary School Teacher:
- Create and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood learning standards
- Teach core Pre-K through 1st grade curriculum, adapting lessons to each child's developmental level o Due to varied and sometimes uneven skill development, instruction may include a combination of skills across grade levels
- Use evidence-based teaching practices such as visual supports, structured routines, and hands-on activities to promote learning
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment tailored for learners with developmental needs
- Incorporate principles of ABA into classroom structure and behavior management
- Facilitate peer interactions and model age-appropriate play and social skills
- Integrate social communication opportunities throughout the day (morning circle, cooperative games, shared problem-solving)
- Track academic and developmental progress through data collection and observation
- Collaborate with families and clinical staff to support learning goals
- Be responsible for curriculum development and classroom planning with support and training from clinical director
- Maintain classroom documentation and student records, including daily/weekly notes and quarterly report cards
- Coordinate daily with RBT's, BCBA's, speech/OT providers, and administrators
- Provide training and ongoing coaching to RBTs to ensure effective implementation of individualized learning and behavior strategies for each client
- Plan lessons and differentiate instruction to meet each child's individual needs and goals
- Develop and implement classroom activities and materials as needed to support student learning As an RBT (if certified):
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA
- Work with both typically developing children and children with special needs
- Collect data accurately and maintain daily progress notes
- Submit reports, timesheets, and documentation promptly and correctly
- Communicate proactively with supervisors about client progress or concerns
- Complete all authorized therapy hours as scheduled
- Support in home, school, clinic, or community sessions as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Providing RBT therapy coverage as needed (after school day)
Your Skills:
- Registered by the BACB as an RBT is preferred ; candidates who do not currently hold an RBT certification will be required to obtain certification prior to the start date as a condition of employment
- Bachelor's degree in related field (psychology, education or applied behavior analysis)
- Experience in early childhood education, teaching, or developmental support ( preferably 2+ years )
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical setting
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for early childhood education and developmental support
- Passion for creating a fun, engaging and inviting classroom environment that supports learning and participation
- Commitment to the values and ethical code of the BACB and SEA
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all settings
- Must possess a high level of integrity
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience with AAC devices is a plus
Working Conditions:
Works with children who emit behaviors that may be challenging, in addition you will be working in clients in their personal spaces which requires discretion and professionalism. Professionalism and discretion are always essential. Position requires physical activity including standing, bending, lifting, and active engagement with children. This position may require travel to various locations.Salary:
Starting at $40,000- 50,000 depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:45am-4pmBenefits:
Health, dental, vision. Vacation time. Company observed holidays, and spring break off (paid).Pay:
$40,000.00- $50,000.
