Elementary School Teacher

Light Christian Academy is currently seeking an elementary teacher for fourth grade levels. At LCA, an elementary teacher is responsible for the education and safety of his or her students. Tasks include, but are not limited to: providing instruction in language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science; teaching and modeling personal, social, and emotional skills; organizing learning material and resources; using a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc.) to motivate and stimulate children's abilities; assessing student progress; maintaining accurate records of student attendance and grades; and communicating effectively with parents. Applicants for the position must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, be able to work well with a team, be creative, and have a ministry mindset. A bachelor's or associate's degree from an accredited university is preferred, as is previous experience with Abeka curriculum. Applicants must satisfactorily complete required background check process and all employment documents.
