Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking passionate and dedicated 1st-3rd Grade Christian School Teachers to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, faith-based educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, implementing age-appropriate curricula, and supporting the spiritual and academic growth of children from preschool through third grade. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help shape a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel valued, motivated, and excited to learn. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and Christian values. Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and physical activity. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Deliver instruction across subjects such as math, reading, writing, science, and physical education, tailoring approaches to meet individual student needs. Utilize assessment tools including standardized testing to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians regarding student development, achievements, and areas for improvement. Support children's welfare by ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and respect for others. Skills Proven experience with curriculum development tailored to early childhood and elementary students. Strong background in childhood development principles and classroom management strategies. Experience working with children in preschool or early elementary settings, including toddler care and daycare environments. Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and literacy education methods. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation and tutoring when necessary. Competence in behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Prior experience in private school settings or similar educational environments is preferred.
