Full Job Description Job Description:

We are a small group of families looking for a warm, dependable, and creative teacher to lead a small nature-inspired homeschool pod for approximately 8 children in Kindergarten through 1st grade. Our pod is designed to feel nurturing, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate. We are looking for someone who loves working with young children, enjoys outdoor learning, and can create a calm, engaging environment where kids feel excited to learn. This position would be Tuesday through Thursday from about 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A parent/helper will be present and available during pod hours, so the teacher will not be alone managing the group.

Responsibilities:

Lead daily learning for a small group of Kindergarten/1st grade children Plan and teach age-appropriate lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and nature-based learning Incorporate outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, art, movement, and creative play Help create a consistent rhythm for the day Support social-emotional learning, cooperation, and kindness Communicate with parents about learning goals, progress, and needs Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging environment

Ideal Candidate:

Has experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade, early childhood, or homeschool groups Is patient, kind, reliable, and organized Enjoys nature-based learning and hands-on education Can balance structure with flexibility Works well with parents and children Is comfortable teaching a small mixed-age group Is familiar with or willing to work within Step Up requirements

Schedule:

Tuesday-Thursday, approximately 9:00 AM-2:00 PM Schedule may have some flexibility.
