In this vital role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, growth, and development. Your dedication will help shape the foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development, setting students on a path to success. You will utilize innovative teaching methods, integrate learning technology, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that meet diverse student needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring special education services. Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and ongoing observations. Provide individualized tutoring and early intervention strategies to support students who need extra help. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and administrative tasks such as record keeping and library services. Requirements Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with teaching physical education, working with students with special needs or autism, and integrating learning technology into daily activities. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Certification or licensure in early childhood education or equivalent credentials preferred. Demonstrated ability to mentor students individually or in small groups; experience in private school settings is a plus.
