Job Summary Absolute Excellence Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-aligned Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing elementary team. The ideal candidate is a credentialed educator with a heart for early childhood education who thrives in a structured, Christ-centered learning environment. In this role, you will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with our Abeka curriculum, foster a love of learning in young scholars, and partner closely with families to support each child's academic and personal development. This is a full-time, in-person position ideal for a Kindergarten teacher in Orlando who is committed to educational excellence, student success, and faith-based instruction. Full-Time Job Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Kindergarten lessons using the Abeka curriculum, with a focus on phonics, penmanship, early literacy, and foundational arithmetic Create a structured, faith-centered classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love of learning Integrate Biblical principles and Christian values into daily instruction and classroom culture Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, maintaining accurate records and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs Communicate regularly and proactively with parents and guardians regarding scholar progress, behavior, and upcoming classroom activities Collaborate with school administration and fellow educators to align instruction with academy-wide academic goals and expectations Implement positive behavior management strategies consistent with academy policies and the school's faith-based code of conduct Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming Kindergarten classroom environment at all times Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and required in-house training to stay current with best practices in early childhood and elementary education Support the social-emotional development of scholars by modeling compassion, patience, and encouragement in all interactions Maintain compliance with Florida Department of Education requirements, including required documentation and reporting standards Supervise scholars during transitions, lunch, and other non-instructional periods as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field (required) Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one (preferred) Experience teaching Kindergarten or early elementary grades (strongly preferred) Familiarity with Abeka curriculum (a plus) Current First Aid and CPR certification (required or willingness to obtain) Alignment with the academy's Christian mission, values, and standards of conduct Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills Compensation & Benefits Paid planning and prep time built into your weekly schedule Paid holidays and school breaks Supportive, faith-filled Christian work environment where your values are celebrated — not just tolerated Opportunities for growth and advancement as the academy expands Why Join Our Team?
