Paid holidays 401K Professional Development Assistance The Elementary Teacher(s) for the kindergarten or 5th & 6th classrooms plan and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children. What You'll Do:
Responsible for teaching groups of students with mild or moderate disabilities Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth. Modify existing curriculum on basic subjects to meet each student's learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs. Monitor children's behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict Collaborate with the support staff to create intervention plans Inform parents about their children's performance and potential problems What We Need from
You:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education 2 years teaching experience (preferred) with FL Teaching Certificate Must clear a full Level 2 DCF background check. Willingness to obtain the FL DCF certification. FL DCF Transcript - Please send transcript to . You can retrieve the transcript from https://childcaretraining.myflfamilies.com/studentsite/admin/signin First-Aid / CPR Certification required within 90 days of employment. Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed. Effectively communicate with both students and parents to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed.
