SJS is a family-oriented community and a wonderful place to work! Please send resume, references, and letter of interest to Dr. Theresa Bangert, principal, at Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Provide individualized instruction to meet the varying needs of students. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, providing feedback to students and parents. Foster a love for learning by incorporating creative teaching methods that focus on engagement, alignment, rigor, and connections to faith. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists. Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices. Experience A degree in Education or a related field is required; certification is preferred. Experience in tutoring or providing childcare is advantageous. Familiarity with literacy education strategies and early childhood education principles is essential. Strong writing skills for lesson planning, communication, and documentation are necessary. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while promoting an inclusive atmosphere for all students.
