Part-time (Monday-Wednesday), Elementary Classroom Teacher for 2026-2027

Trailblazers is a nature-based hybrid school serving preschool through 8th grade on our beautiful outdoor campus. We believe children learn best through hands-on exploration, collaborative learning, and meaningful connection with the natural world. Our educators work closely as a team to create a joyful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports the growth of every student. Responsibilities Design and deliver differentiated, accessible, interdisciplinary curriculum Build a caring classroom community that celebrates differences and diverse perspectives Support students with a range of learning styles and needs Lead activities in multiple settings (whole group, small group, one-on-one, or multi-age classrooms) Facilitate outdoor learning experiences in all weather conditions

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree (teaching certification appreciated but not required) Experience working with school-age children Ability to walk or hike 2-3 miles daily on natural trails

Preferred:

Passion for partnering with children to foster curiosity, confidence, and student ownership of learning Experience with innovative and inclusive educational practices, such as: project-based or inquiry-based learning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), culturally relevant pedagogy, environmental or outdoor education, and STEAM or arts-integrated instruction Expertise in one or more academic areas (reading, writing, math, science, social studies) Why Trailblazers?
