Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our vibrant educational community in Hiram, Georgia. As a 3rd Grade Teacher, you will create engaging lesson plans, implement innovative teaching strategies, and provide a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and confidence. Duties Develop and execute dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Incorporate learning technology and interactive tools to enhance student engagement and understanding. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, early childhood education initiatives, and early intervention programs. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in classroom management and instructional techniques. Facilitate extracurricular activities such as library services or physical education classes to promote well-rounded development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification for elementary education is required. Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures. Familiarity with teaching physical education, math instruction, writing skills, and library services is preferred. Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention support. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administration effectively. $22,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
