Provides instruction, coaching, and operational support as an elementary facilitator.ENDORSEMENTS
Valid Iowa Teaching LicenseESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties must be performed on-site. Other duties or tasks may be assigned.Program Implementation:
Develops and implements programming associated with student support, literacy/math intervention, and enrichment for elementary students.Curriculum Support:
Supports and implements the district's elementary curriculum, standards, and benchmarks.Teacher Consultation:
Assists elementary staff with strategies to support and meet students' needs and achievement of academic and social-emotional goals.Communication:
Provides active communication and fosters positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community members.Social-Emotional Learning:
Assists in the planning and delivery of social, emotional, and behavioral school-wide programming (e.g., PBIS or Restorative Practices).Collaborative Leadership:
Assists and collaborates with the principal, school counselor, staff, parents, and students on matters pertaining to student achievement and building climate.Intervention:
Facilitates and implements academic and behavioral interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.Record Keeping:
Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of student data.Professional Standards:
Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria on a consistent basis.Reliability:
Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis and attends required meetings.PREPARATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
Organizational Excellence:
Highly developed organizational skills to manage multiple student and staff needs.Professionalism:
Capable of representing the school and district in a professional manner, including confidentiality, communication, and demeanor.Communication:
Strong oral and written communication skills tailored for young students, colleagues, and families.Independence:
Ability to work independently while remaining a cohesive member of a grade-level or building team.Student Supervision:
Ability to effectively supervise elementary students in various settings (classroom, playground, lunchroom) while maintaining positive, nurturing relationships.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Valid Iowa Teaching License Preferred:
Experience in classroom teaching in elementary grades.Preferred:
Holds a valid Iowa Administrator License OR is currently in the process of obtaining an Iowa Administrator License.TECHNICAL SKILLS & REASONING
Language & Literacy:
Ability to read, analyze, and implement ideas from technical documents and assessment data (e.g., FASTBridge, ISASP). Ability to assist students in foundational language and literacy development.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform and teach basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, and fractions.Reasoning:
Ability to solve problems effectively and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.REQUIRED DISPOSITIONS

Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit on the floor to engage with students. Must be able to squat, stoop, or kneel to speak with children at eye level. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (curriculum materials, classroom furniture). Specific vision required for supervising active play and working with digital data.Work Environment:
Noise level is usually moderate (typical of an elementary school). Requires professional hours that may extend beyond the typical 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. workday. Includes both indoor classroom environments and outdoor supervision in various weather conditions.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
