Jul 1, 2026 Job Description Saints Mary & Mathias Catholic School is seeking a motivated and dedicated educator to serve as a full time 3rd Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate enjoys working with elementary students and understands the important role teachers play in supporting the academic, social, and spiritual growth of each child. Position Overview This full time position requires presence at school Monday through Friday from 7:50 AM to 3:20 PM. Teachers are contracted for 190 days per school year, including: 170 student contact days 2 conference compensation days 12 professional development/inservice days 6 paid holidays The 3rd Grade Teacher will lead instruction in core academic subjects including reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and religion. Responsibilities include lesson planning, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and partnering with families to support student success. Collaboration is an important part of our school culture. Teachers work closely with colleagues, administration, and support staff to ensure students receive strong academic guidance and a well rounded educational experience. Faith Environment Saints Mary & Mathias Catholic School is rooted in the Catholic tradition. While applicants are not required to be practicing Catholics, candidates should be comfortable supporting students in age appropriate faith development and participating in the spiritual life of the school community.
