This role is essential in strengthening foundational academic skills, supporting continued literacy and math development, and fostering students' social growth within a positive, structured learning environment aligned with district priorities and schoolwide expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with district-adopted curriculum and state standards, with a strong focus on reading fluency, comprehension, writing, and math fact development. Use research-based instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including differentiation, scaffolding, and enrichment opportunities. Create a safe, consistent, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student independence, responsibility, and positive behavior. Collaborate closely with grade-level team members to plan instruction, analyze student data, and design targeted interventions to support student growth. Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), engaging in collaborative planning, data discussions, and continuous improvement focused on student achievement. Implement schoolwide expectations and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) with consistency and a positive approach. Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and respond to student needs in a timely and effective manner. Maintain strong, positive communication with families to support student learning and build meaningful home-school partnerships. Work collaboratively with specialists, support staff, and administration to ensure all students receive appropriate supports and opportunities for success.

Qualifications:
Valid Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement (or eligibility). Strong understanding of early elementary instructional practices and child development. Commitment to collaboration, equity, and student-centered instruction. Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
