West Pratt Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60645 $30,000 a year - Part-time $30,000 a year - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 5th Grade Teacher (Male) to inspire and educate young learners in a dynamic classroom environment. This role involves fostering academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love for learning among students in the fifth grade. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a passion for nurturing children's potential through creative and engaging lessons. As a vital member of our educational team, you will create an engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy education, math, science, social studies, and creative arts. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and productive learning environment. Assess student progress through regularly scheduled quizzes and tests. Collaborate with the teacher of the parallel class on grade-level projects and curriculum. Engage parents through regular communication about student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities. Meet regularly with the principal to discuss student progress and curriculum. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred. Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a private school setting or similar environment. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best teaching practices. Experience with curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies. Familiarity with teaching physical education, working with individuals with autism, special education strategies, and early intervention techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated skills in classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Interest in working with a unique, religious demographic as part of a dual curriculum.

$30,000.00 per year
