Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Qualified individuals will conduct themselves professionally under the supervision of the school principal in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the School and Diocese of Springfield, Illinois. The elementary school teacher will maintain a professional environment while motivating and involving students in activities, provide lectures and a structured environment conducive for learning, conducting periodic evaluations, keep detailed lesson plans, council pupils as needed, discuss academic progress with parents, keep required records, participate in professional activities of the school as well as in service programs, and perform other duties as assigned. As a Catholic organization we seek individuals who share our faith and are committed to fostering an environment that not only provides academic excellence, but a faith filled environment that supports and upholds the values of our Catholic traditions and faith that allows for continued spiritual growth within our children and school.Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a practicing and faithful Catholic who upholds the values and traditions of the Catholic faith. This individual will also have a strong desire to serve to the commitment of the mission of Catholic Schools and evangelization through excellence in Catholic education.
