We are seeking an enthusiastic elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and a current state teaching certificate. The teacher must believe that the Bible is God's Word and is the standard for faith and daily living. You also must be in agreement with Trinity Christian School's mission and philosophy of education. This opening is a self-contained classroom in which the teacher is responsible for teaching the core subjects. The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. Roles and Responsibilities Work with administration and board to implement all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school Teach classes as assigned following prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the administration Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises for a good learning environment Maintain, a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual abilities of the students and promotes mastery of academic standards Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social and emotional Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records Keep students, parents and administration adequately informed of progress or deficiencies and give sufficient notice of failure Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, and administration. Attend and participate in scheduled devotional, in-service, educational committees, faculty, and parent meetings and other required events as directed by administrator
Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills:
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony among others Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with our school Agree to uphold Trinity Christian's Statement of Faith Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college is required Attain ACSI Standard Certification within three years of employment Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally Must have excellent interpersonal skills Must be or become proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related school information software Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditionsSalary/Benefits:
