Queen of Peace, Mishawaka - Elementary Teacher Diocesan AM Services of Fort Wayne Mishawaka, IN Job Details 3 hours ago Full Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Elementary Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is a professional educator who is committed to the spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth of every child. You will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that reflects the Gospel values and provides a rigorous, student-centered curriculum.
Key Responsibilities Faith Leadership:
Integrate Catholic teachings and values across all subject areas. Lead students in daily prayer, participate in school liturgies, and foster a classroom culture rooted in kindness and service.
Instructional Excellence:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans in alignment with Diocesan standards and Common Core (if applicable).
Differentiated Learning:
Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
Assessment & Data:
Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform instructional decisions.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment based on mutual respect and restorative discipline.
Parent Partnership:
Maintain frequent and professional communication with parents regarding student progress and well-being. Education Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Certification Valid State Teaching License (or eligibility for certification). Faith Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred. Clearances Successful completion of background checks and "Safe Environment" training (Virtus). Skills Proficiency with educational technology (e.g., Google Classroom, Smartboards).
