3rd Grade Teacher (2026-2027)

3rd Grade Teacher Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity. Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a 3rd Grade Teacher with a Bachelor's or Master's degree and a LA state certification in Elementary Education. Additional certifications in Special Education, Reading Specialist, and/or ELL is desirable. Two (2)+ years experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with LA Student Standards, LEAP Assessments, Guided Reading, and Writing Workshop is required. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus.
