ANNUAL SALARY
Salary and benefits per Georgetown Education Association contract.
START DATE
start of the 2026 /2027 School Year (August 31, 2026)
WORK YEAR
184 days, the school year & professional development days
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate should: Be energetic, motivated individual to work with collaboratively with the grade level team members. Have a strong background in the content area Be passionate and enthusiastic educator who can motivate students to discover their creative potential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in working with middle school students in a public school setting preferred Able to take direction from subject Supervisor Able to assess students and effectively plan instruction Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
REQUIRED
Certified in Massachusetts as Elementary 1-6 OR Early Childhood PK/K to Grade 2 Knowledge of curriculum frameworks or Wit & Wisdom curriculum, preferred not necessary Knowledge of MCAS preparation
SALARY & BENEFITS
Per agreement between the Georgetown School Committee and Georgetown Education Association. Eligible for health insurance Contractual sick days and personal days
