Kindergarten Teacher Westford Public Schools - 4.7 Westford, MA Job Details Full-time $55,482 - $110,834 a year 18 hours ago Qualifications Professional collaboration in IEP development Student performance assessment strategies Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Classroom management Mid-level Curriculum implementation Working with students with special education needs Lesson planning School policy and procedure enforcement Classroom Teaching Collaborative teaching K-12 education instructional development Full Job Description Westford Public Schools is seeking a Kindergarten TeacherDemonstrate knowledge of Kindergarten Subject MatterGuide the learning process toward the achievement of district and school curriculum goalsEstablish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicate these objectives to studentsPlan instruction based upon explicit goals regarding what students should know and be able to doCreate or provide learning experiences that develop students' abilities and require the application of thinking skillsEmploy a variety of instructional strategies that consider individual learning styles and performance levelsOrganize instruction around essential questions or core learning objectives; teach for understanding and/or mastery; provide students with practice and extension opportunities as neededAssess student learning on a regular basis using multiple forms of assessment; provide reports of student progress as neededUse assessment data to inform instructionCreate a classroom learning environment that is engaging, orderly, secure and appealing for students and in which mutual respect is shownCarry out the school's disciplinary code and procedures in a fair and just mannerGive assignments that reinforce classroom instructionCommunicate student progress and development to parentsProvide written assessments, referrals and evaluations when necessary for students with special needs. Participate in IEP meetings as required.
