This teacher, along with an assistant teacher, is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional, development of young children. The teacher will integrate general studies with Jewish values, traditions, and culture, fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning and identity. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum in literacy, math, and social studies. Establish strong relationships and develop predictable routines in the classroom Integrate Jewish values, holidays, and traditions into daily instruction as appropriate Create a joyful, inclusive, and respectful classroom Use play-based, hands-on, and inquiry-driven teaching methods Support students' social and emotional growth, emphasizing kindness, respect, responsibility, and self-regulation Assess student progress and utilize formal and informal assessment to drive instruction Communicate regularly and effectively with parents Collaborate with Kindergarten team, Judaic studies teachers, specialists, and support staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required) Experience working with young children in a classroom setting Knowledge of or comfort with Jewish traditions, holidays, and culture Strong classroom management and communication skills Skills & Competencies Passion for early childhood education and child development Creativity and flexibility Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm Working Environment Full-time position aligned with the academic calendar Active classroom setting with young children
