- Anticipated Maine certification as an elementary teacher - 180 day position To create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth Ability to communicate with staff members, pupils, and parents Become an active participate of the second grade team To develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge in accordance with each pupil's ability Establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students Teaches reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, and science, while supporting art, health, physical education, and music instruction to pupils in the classroom, utilizing curriculum adopted by the Bangor School Department and other appropriate learning activities An Equal Opportunity Employer
