Grade 2 - Village Elementary School

Position Overview:

Village Elementary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher who is committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment The ideal candidate fosters a positive classroom community, delivers engaging and differentiated instruction, and supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with grade-level standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level teams and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
• Communicate effectively with families to support student learning and development
• Integrate social-emotional learning into daily classroom practices

Qualifications:

• Maine Elementary Teaching Certification (or eligibility)
• Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and child development
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
