Oxford-Cumberland Canal School Canal Elementary School in Westbrook, ME is searching for a caring, dedicated, and engaging 3rd grade teacher for our diverse and culturally rich students. A 3rd Grade Teacher will provide direct instruction in reading, writing, phonics, keyboarding, and math utilizing a workshop model with whole class instruction and targeted small group instruction. Experience with Units of Study, From Phonics to Reading, and Zearn is preferable. Strong classroom management practices and commitment to building and maintaining relationships with our students is a must to ensure our students are cared about and their social, emotional, and academic growth is paramount. We are looking for a collaborative and energetic person to join our school community. As a small neighborhood school serving students PreK - 4th grade, Canal believes in working collaboratively with families and the community to support all our students. Strong relationships within our school community and with community partnerships enable us to foster academic growth while supporting social, emotional, and basic needs.
