5th Grade Classroom Teacher

Grade 5 Teacher -Winslow Elementary School 2026-2027 School Year Winslow Elementary School is seeking an energetic, student-centered educator to join our Fifth Grade team. Working within a collaborative four-person grade-level department, the successful candidate will partner with another teacher to implement a "two-teacher platoon model." In this role, the educator will be responsible for delivering instruction in Math, Science, and Social Studies. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating an inclusive and rigorous learning environment and will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to support the academic and social-emotional growth of our fifth-grade learners. Key responsibilities

Instruction:

Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction.

Classroom Culture:

Foster a safe and supportive classroom community where every student feels a sense of belonging.

Data-Driven Practice:

Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

Collaboration:

Participate actively in Grade-Level Team meetings and school-wide professional development.

Communication:

Maintain strong, positive partnerships with families to support student success. Qualifications Valid Elementary Teaching Certification. Upper elementary education experience - particularly in the areas of Math, Science, and Social Studies - is preferred. Strong upper-elementary math content knowledge (e.g., decimals and fractions) and an understanding of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematical Practice are preferred. Experience with a variety of elementary-level curricula, such as iReady Classroom Mathematics or similar programs, and evidence-based teaching practices is preferred.
