Summary Parkview Elementary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1st Grade Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. - Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state standards and educational objectives.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, providing feedback and support to enhance individual learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support student success.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain a well-organized classroom that promotes safety and effective learning.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices and enhance teaching skills.
- Address diverse learning needs by implementing differentiated instruction and providing additional support as necessary.
- Encourage social-emotional development by teaching conflict resolution, teamwork, and respect for others.
- Engage in school events and activities to foster a sense of community and support the overall mission of Parkview Elementary. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for early learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
