First Grade Teacher - Multiple Positions

Living Stones Academy has multiple positions open for permanent, full-time First Grade Teacher in Grand Rapids, MI to teach Kindergarten and Lower Elementary, which includes 1st and 2nd grades. Provide quality instruction in subject areas: Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Bible, Handwriting, and Second Step (social-emotional) including instruction that is distinctly Christian and accessible to a diverse group of learners; maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment; provide positive behavior support, manage classroom behaviors, implement behavior plans; contribute to the school community by maintaining a positive attitude, praying for other staff members and students, fulfilling recess and lunch duties, serving on school committees; differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with unique learning needs using flexible grouping; develop positive relations with parents and students; assess student progress towards grade level standards and use assessment results to inform instruction; maintain high expectations for all students regardless of their socio-economic background, race or ethnicity, family structure or standard English proficiency.
