Position Overview:
Classroom Teacher Classroom Teachers create a differentiated, engaging learning environment that supports the academic, social, and spiritual growth of each student in a multi-age classroom setting. Teachers build strong relationships with students, families, and staff while guiding student motivation and mastery of academic standards according to individual abilities. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
Elementary & Secondary:
5+ years experience working with children
    Secondary:
    Experience in the specified teaching area
    • Missouri DESE Teaching Certification preferred (not required) Professional Skills & Attributes
    • Strong commitment to the school's mission and philosophy
    • Passion for working with children and youth
    • Flexibility in accommodating individual learning needs
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Ability to implement feedback and instructional strategies
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Creativity and resourcefulness
    • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver strong academic instruction aligned with school curriculum
    • Integrate a Biblical worldview into classroom teaching
    • Establish a positive, structured culture for learning
    • Utilize effective teaching strategies and classroom management
    • Design lesson plans aligned with curriculum frameworks
    • Participate in professional development related to instruction and classroom practice
    • Organize monthly fi eld trips to support real-world learning connections
    • Demonstrate fl exibility and responsiveness to student needs
    • Build strong classroom culture and student rapport
    • Maintain alignment with curricular goals and standards
    • Support annual productions (e.g., costumes, sets, backstage assistance)
    • Uphold and implement the school's discipline policy
    • Administer standardized assessments to track student progress
    • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and colleagues
    • Engage families through newsletters, events, and regular communication
    • Collaborate with administrators and teaching teams
    • Plan cross-curricular events and learning experiences
    • Design culminating projects and student presentations
    • Identify and support individual student needs in partnership with families and staff
    • Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
