Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Perry County School District #32 is seeking a teacher for the Primary Center Success Room for the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A primary center teacher is responsible for creating a welcoming classroom environment where students feel safe to grow academically, socially and emotionally. They are responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that have research-based instructional strategies to advance student learning as evidenced by data, while ensuring a rigorous and viable curriculum that is based on state standards and approved by the Perry County Board of Education. They manage enforcing classroom expectations through restorative practices; collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data results for continuous student improvement; establishing positive collaborative relationships with parents and community members; and actively engaging in reflective practices and applying new knowledge and understanding to enhance student learning.
SALARY RANGE
Starting at $41,000.00 (based on a Bachelor's Degree) New employees receive credit for previous FULL years of verified experience in appropriate experience related to the area in which they will work. Current District 32 salary schedules.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position works 7.75 hours per day, Monday - Friday following the school calendar and including scheduled professional development days.
BENEFITS
Certified 9-month employees at Perry County School District 32 receive the following benefits: The district pays up to $650.00 per month for the employee's medical insurance, which begins on the first day of the month following the official employment date. Vision, dental, and life insurance are optional and at employee expense. District-paid $10,000.00 life insurance policy. Paid leave: 8 sick days and unused sick leave will be cumulative to 180 days, with a maximum carryover of 172 days; 4 personal days that do not carryover, but are added to the annual sick leave and then qualify for accumulation. Excellent retirement package, with District-matched 14.5% contribution to PSRS.
